There are many elements of this series that are well-crafted. But I just felt it was uncomfortable. There were so many things about the writing, the direction, and the acting that were uncomfortable. At times, it was uncomfortable. Some of the dialogue felt so incomplete and so under-refined that I shook my head. It made the relationships in the story feel incomplete and lacking in depth. I feel like I should have warmed to many of the characters, but I didn’t understand the techniques for making the audience uncomfortable, but this is different. If it was intentional, it failed in execution. If this is a new style of filmmaking, I hope it passes.
