James Gunn picked up the “CREATURE COMMANDOS” before taking over at DC
It follows a group of military superhumans, consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios. The series’ writer and creator, James Gunn, is featured in the opening credits with a laptop writing a script.

. He appeared in the AniMat Crazy Cartoon Characters: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). Based on the commercial for the series, I was really excited to see DC have a bunch of monsters in one team.
It should be 14-24 per season
As I watch the two episodes, I feel quite confused, too rushed because I don’t fully understand the story. The plot is there, but some of the characters’ voices seem pretty boring. I’m not happy that there will be 7 episodes per season.
What’s next, one episode per season?
I like the idea of the team, but I want to understand more so that I can engage with the characters, but not feel rushed and lost in the show. Reading the comics is one thing, but DC’s main problem is that they don’t let you enjoy the characters enough to understand what they’re going through in the series or the movies. I hope they make season 2 better and I’ll keep watching this show.

James Gunn, make me love this show and the characters even more and stop rushing through an awesome project. Check out what movies and TV shows are streaming this month.
