Tale
In this supernatural winter epic set in the 19th century, a drunk cider salesman must rise from nothing to hero and become the greatest fur trapper in North America by defeating hundreds of beavers. Director Mike Cheslik estimated that the mascot costumes cost around $10,000, and the crew purchased all of the costumes online.

Creative and very funny
Jean Kayak and His Acme Applejack Written and produced by Wayne Tews Designed and co-produced by Karl Landwehr. Its wild slapstick takes cues from Looney Tunes and silent movies, but it also feels very original.
You even have Olivia Graves in a Red Hot Riding Hood-esque role
It feels like it’s going to drag on, but the antics get funnier and funnier as they go on, helped along greatly by Cheslik’s great sense of pacing and use of disorientation. It’s all “cartoon violence,” but some of the deaths are beautifully gruesome—and somehow acceptable, even though they depict the disgusting act of animal capture.
